Voltu Motor Celebrates Grand Opening of New Riverside Facility

Voltu Motor, an electric vehicle company focused on electrifying heavy-duty commercial vehicles, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new Riverside facility with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by regional partners and community leaders.

Originally founded in Argentina, Voltu selected Riverside as the location for its U.S. operations and has worked closely with regional stakeholders to establish and grow its presence in Inland Southern California. Throughout its growth, the company has received support from UCR Innovation & Entrepreneurship, which helped connect Voltu with resources, partnerships, and opportunities within the region's innovation ecosystem.

The company's expansion represents another step forward in Riverside's growing clean technology sector. Voltu's flagship vehicle, the Voltu3, is a fully electric truck built on a Ford F-350 chassis and powered by the company's proprietary battery and electrical systems, advancing the transition toward zero-emission commercial transportation.

The new facility reflects the impact of collaboration between entrepreneurs, local government, economic development organizations, and research institutions working together to accelerate innovation and create economic opportunity. Through initiatives such as SoCal OASIS, UCR continues to support companies developing solutions in clean energy, advanced transportation, and sustainable manufacturing.

UCR Innovation & Entrepreneurship congratulates Voltu Motor on this important milestone and looks forward to supporting the company's continued growth and impact in the Inland Southern California region.
