UCR Signs Collaboration Agreement with Know Hub Chile to Commercialize Agricultural Plant Varieties

Know Hub Chile Agreement Signing

UC Riverside’s Office of Technology Partnerships signed a collaboration agreement with Know Hub Chile, an association of 11 universities and research institutions in Chile to accelerate technology transfer through licensing efforts.  As part of the agreement, both UCR and Know Hub Chile will introduce each other’s agricultural crop plant varieties and cultivars to potential partners and promote such varieties as part of their portfolio of licensable technologies. Both parties will benefit from the other’s expertise in their geographic area and varieties and will assist in facilitating licensing discussions as well as advise each other.

Given the synergies in the development of agricultural technologies between the partners this agreement opens opportunities to identify, develop, and commercialize new and valuable varieties in both hemispheres.
