The OASIS Accelerator,  part of the broader OASIS initiative, is designed to accelerate the establishment and growth of a sustainability-focused innovation ecosystem in the Inland Empire by expanding opportunities for Inland Empire innovators and entrepreneurs, in particular those from underrepresented groups, to create sustainability and climate technology-based startups with high societal impact. Focusing on equality and inclusivity, the program addresses systemic challenges that technology-driven innovation and entrepreneurship face in the region, evidenced by the underrepresentation of communities in STEM fields and the lack of venture capital funding available.

The OASIS Accelerator consists of an interconnected network of state-of-the-art test beds and pilot facilities and integrated, specialized business support services under one single program. The Accelerator provides a supportive environment where startups can test their products and technologies under real conditions, have access to a diverse talent pool of technical and business experts, a skilled workforce and leverage the research excellence and entrepreneurial programs of the University of California Riverside. The OASIS Accelerator is managed by the Office of Technology Partnerships (OTP)under the Office of Research and Economic Development at UCR.
